Behind the Wheel Drivers Education Programs
Don's Driving School understands the importance of behind-the-wheel skills that all drivers should aspire to learn. We offer two behind-the-wheel driving training programs: Teen and Adult Driver Programs. Our experienced instructors will coach drivers on responsible driving habits and prepare them for the road ahead.

Teen Driver Program
When it comes to the education and safety of our children, only the best will do. This is especially true of driving instruction. Don's Driving School understands the importance of this milestone in both a parent and young teen's life, and take pride in the fact that you are trusting us with the safety and best education possible.
The requirements for Teen Drivers are:

Must have a valid ND permit.

Must be 14 years of age.

Must complete six (6) hours behind-the-wheel instruction with a qualified instructor.
Adult Driver Program
Whether you are an adult new to driving an automobile, need a refresher course, or from another country with different driving laws - Don's Driving School is here to help you with your behind-the-wheel instruction. We have provided driver's training to people of all ages and walks of life!
The requirements and options for Adult Drivers:

Must have a valid ND permit or license.

A two (2) hour pre-test course is available. The pre-test includes downtown driving and a review of all basic maneuvers.

You may choose to drive one, two or more hours depending on your driving skill level.

Micro-courses are available to "brush-up" your driving skills.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW ARE LESSONS SCHEDULED?
The six hour course for teens is set up in four one and a half hour sessions for students who live in the urban city of Bismarck. Students from rural Bismarck, Lincoln or Mandan will set up three two hour sessions.
WHERE DOES THE STUDENT GO FOR LESSONS?
We come to you! We can pick up and drop off anywhere in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
WHOSE CAR IS USED FOR TRAINING?
We will pick up the student in one of our dual controlled driver training cars.
WHEN CAN I SCHEDULE LESSONS?
Lessons are given year round, seven days a week. We have morning, afternoon and evening availability.
